Caving is a real adventure. After kitting up with your suit, wellies, helmet and lamp your instructor will give you a safety briefing before beginning your journey into the unknown. Devon caves have a character all of their own, they can be complicated with lots of twists and turns as well as being very muddy which is always fun. The nature of cave system at Pridhamsleigh means there is a huge variety in the routes you can take, our caving instructors are expert at setting the right route for the group and allowing participants to challenge by choice. Occasionally groups may start the activity feeling a little apprehensive about exploring this unknown environment but after seeing and understanding some of the natural wonders of the cave such as the crystal clear lake, stalactites and flow stone soon forget their worries and begin to rise to some of the challenges the cave has to offer like Maggots Crawl. As well as being a real adventure a caving session can be fantastic team building tool as everyone works together, offering physical and emotional assistance to their buddies as they navigate the challenges of the cave.
